Terms and Conditions

We may change any part of this site, should the need arise, including the pricing or descriptions of our produce, at any time. We may change or add to these terms and conditions, as and when it is necessary, for security, legal or regulatory reasons.

All products we offer are subject to availability and may change without prior notice. We reserve the right to supply an alternative product and in this event, we will offer a replacement which will be of equal or higher value than the item replaced.

Product and Illustration

The prices quoted are inclusive of VAT (Value Added Tax), and packaging.

Although we make every effort to make our images representative, images on the site are for illustration purposes only and the hampers do not include any of the cutlery, crockery or kitchen utensils shown in the lifestyle images. If in any doubt about the contents of a hamper, please refer to the hamper contents list provided.

We use a strong purpose-built box to protect your order. In addition, we will label our boxes to encourage carriers to keep our produce safe and upright. This should be sufficient for your order to arrive in perfect condition.

Alcohol

Anybody under 18 is breaking the law if they buy or attempt to buy alcohol in a pub, off-licence or shop. It is also illegal for anyone to buy alcohol for someone else who is under 18 except when they purchase wine, beer or cider for consumption with a meal. This law extends to people under 18 drinking wine, beer or cider in a public place.

We reserve the right to request suitable, nationally accepted identification on any alcohol sales at the point of purchase .

Our couriers are instructed to uphold the ‘Challenge 25’ policy on delivery and may request identification before completing the delivery where a recipient looks under 25.

By ticking the age restriction box during the purchase you are accepting that you have read and understood the alcohol terms and conditions outlined and that you are over 18 at the time and date of purchase. You must not proceed and accept these terms if you do not meet this requirement.

Frozen Produce

You are buying some of Devon’s top quality, premium produce carefully chosen for its taste and we want our customers to experience the contents of their hamper as it was intended. To ensure the freshness and integrity of the produce, with the exception of bakery goods, we do not send any items frozen. All dairy products are sent chilled in a thermal polybox to ensure it reaches its destination in perfect condition without suffering any severe temperature changes which may adversely affect the produce. As a general guideline, most bakery items should be consumed within 72 hours of the dispatch date, cream within 5 days and cheese within 7 days however best before dates will be provided on the products.  If you are in any doubt, please contact us prior to ordering.

Dispatch Days

All orders received before 2pm Monday to Thursday will be available for next day delivery in the UK mainland. Orders placed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be dispatched on Monday (excludes Bank Holidays)  unless Saturday delivery has been specified.

Delivery Instructions

We cannot be held liable for any delay in delivering your order if the reason for this is beyond our control. Please be aware that once the order is dispatched and passed over to our courier for delivery, any subsequent events affecting delivery is out of our control.

Unless alternative instructions have been given, a signature will be required on delivery. If for any reason the package cannot be delivered when attempted, a card will be left advising the recipient to contact the courier to make suitable arrangements for a redelivery. A parcel tracking number will be provided for your order on dispatch so you can track the parcels progress. Our courier will also contact you with updated estimated arrival times as the transit progresses.

Upon receipt of your order, you should inspect it to make sure that it is intact and in full. The courier must be informed prior to signature of breakages or any visible external damage. Your signature at the point of delivery acknowledges safe receipt of the goods in saleable condition.

Cancellation/Returns/Non Delivery

You may cancel your order up to 48 hours prior to the dispatch date at no charge. If you are not completely happy with your hamper on its arrival,  please contact us to arrange a return within 24 hours and the full value of the hamper (less postage) will be refunded to your credit/debit card. Due to the perishable nature of the products, goods which are returned to us as a result of unsuccessful delivery attempts where delivery instructions have been met, cannot be refunded. In these circumstances the customer may request for the goods to be re-sent at the relevant standard shipping fee and would not cover any spoilt perishable goods.

Payment

We accept most major credit cards.  All prices include VAT at the current rate. We use Sage Pay to collect/process transaction information. Their security policy can be found here: http://www.sagepay.co.uk/policies/security-policy.

Privacy & Protection

To protect your privacy we will never disclose any information we hold about you to a third party.  We may wish to inform you of special offers from time to time but if you would prefer not to receive such information please contact us and we shall remove you from our mailing list.
